My approach to supporting my clients is human first and person centered. You are an entire world and it’s an honor to be invited into it. You are the expert of your own life and I’m here to help you zoom out and gain clarity on relationships or parts of your life that have you feeling stuck.

Your healing isn’t about fixing anything because you aren’t broken. What if your healing got to be a fiercely gentle and powerful homecoming and remembrance of your wholeness, wisdom and power?

Your healing does not lie in placing your power in the lap of an “expert” to “fix” you. The clients I support are the experts of their own lived experiences and bring a wealth of wisdom we tap into together. I believe you are whole, always healing and naturally oriented towards your own growth and expansion, even in the moments those things feel so far away.

Hard & painful things are going to happen in our lives, it’s part of being a person. This can leave us feeling stuck and unsure of who we are on the other side of major changes, what it means for our relationships and for our lives. But there is always a way through, even if the way is tough and you’ve never traversed it before.

One of my guiding principles is that we don’t always have to try so hard at healing and that it gets to be joyful with room for laughter alongside the difficult things. Because laughing through the darkness is one of my areas of expertise and deeply healing medicine for a weary soul.

I support clients in moving through major life transitions (health diagnoses, divorce, career changes, big moves, grief), relationship changes and challenges as well as sometimes tricky family dynamics. Relationships are what make our lives rich and meaningful and are often a major part of the work I support my clients in, including the relationships they have with themselves. Staying clear on who they are, what they need and how to live a life that is true and aligned with what they value even amidst constant change is a big piece of my client work.

We’re going to figure it out, together. You lead the way, I’ve got your back.

Here’s what I think about you + your healing

 Education, Professional Background & Experience

I’ve spent the last decade supporting people in their growth & healing.

I’m a graduate of UNC-Chapel Hill, where I double majored in Psychology & Sociology. I worked for several years in the public education system before going on to earn my Masters in Social Work with a clinical focus. I am clinically licensed (LCSW) and am also a two time certified coach in the areas of sex + relationships as well as trauma resolution + healing. Every year I complete continuing education and training to maintain my credentials and will be a life long student in order to best support my clients.

I worked for a wonderful non-profit for several years as a therapist specializing in grief and trauma. I supported hundreds of individuals, couples and groups in navigating grief after the death of a loved one and primarily worked with parents who experienced the death of a child. Grief work will always be sacred to me and serves as a solid foundation for much of the work I do now. Because how can we talk about really living if we don’t talk about the very human experiences of grief, loss, trauma and death? I’ve spent thousands of hours sitting with people during the most difficult times of their lives. You will not find spiritual bypassing, toxic positivity, or minimization of your pain and trauma here. Only space for being a whole person.

I received the VITA coaching certification in Sex+Relationships from Layla Martin and am also certified through Rachael Maddox’s ReBloom Trauma Resolution Program.

Let’s Get Personal

I’m a mid 30s woman currently living in Dallas, Texas with my husband Chris as he finishes surgical training. The other love of my life is my perfect, gorgeous 85 pound 4 legged hairy baby Sage Mae. I carry the BRCA1 mutation and had a prophylactic double mastectomy in 2017. I am also a brain tumor survivor and had a successful craniotomy in 2023 that changed the trajectory of my whole entire life. I am many years alcohol sober. I talk a lot about the perspective shifting I’ve experienced through my health struggles because sitting closely with your own mortality changes you. Imagine that!

I believe magic is in the mundane, the small things are the big things and that relationships are what truly make our lives rich and worth living, so you’ll find a lot of musings on that in my writing as it’s a cornerstone of my work. I am a weight lifting enthusiast, a novice on the grill and a lover of being outside around trees specifically. An ideal day for me is taking my dog on a long walk through the woods, lifting some weights, seeing a few clients and grilling out for dinner before being in bed by 8 pm with a good book.

Whether we work together 1:1, you read my writing, or we hang out on Insta together, my deepest hope is that you feel affirmed in your humanity. That somewhere inside you (even if it’s really far down), you know there is nothing wrong with you. That you are loved, worthy and needed just as you are. And that actually: You are powerful, wise and absolute magic. Not in spite of your struggles and flaws but because of them. We love complex humans around these parts!

I believe that

  • There’s magic in the mundane—in the many small moments that are seemingly insignificant, yet make up the bigger picture of our lives. We all deserve to experience the magic in these moments, no matter where we’re at in life.

  • Healing from trauma doesn’t have to be all seriousness and intense. You can still welcome play, light, and joy in your life (and in the healing process) while doing the tough inner work, too.

  • You can have a joyful, beautiful, BIG life no matter what you’ve been through or what you might experience in the future.

  • There’s no prerequisite to live a life filled with rest, joy, pleasure, and play. You are deserving of these things always!

  • Work and spaces for healing trauma and cultivating safety in ourselves and with others is rooted in liberation, safety, freedom + pleasure for ALL. I am committed to anti-racist education and learning for the rest of my life. I am a Jewish woman that believes in a free Palestine. I support sex workers. I am pro Black. I am pro Queer. I believe in dismantling the gender binary. I believe all bodies are good bodies. This work is deeply political and I know and believe the personal to be political.

  • I am not the right fit coach for every person. I will not work outside my scope of practice and will support you in finding the right fit if I am not it. I am a white, cisgender and (mostly) able bodied woman who recognizes and acknowledges the vast privileges I hold. It would be my deepest honor to hold space for you and also, I am delighted to refer you to other practitioners if/when you desire that. I am committed to harm reduction models of work and know it is impossible to work closely together with other humans and not cause harm. I engage in continuous training + education so I can expand my capacity for holding and cultivating safer space for the people I support. I am also very accountable to my people and am committed to repairing when I cause harm.
